Visual Metronome, distributed as Pulseview Metronome on Apple platforms, is developed and operated by 404Cerebrum. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to 404Cerebrum in that role.
Firebase Analytics may receive feature interactions, practice duration, settings choices, screen and session engagement, app and operating-system versions, platform, broad geographic information and an app-installation identifier.
Supported production builds use Firebase Crashlytics together with the Firebase Sessions and Firebase Installations SDKs included with it. These services may receive crash stack traces; bounded error, app and playback state; diagnostic event-name breadcrumbs; app, SDK, operating-system, device and network-connection metadata; install source; timestamps and session-start timing; and Crashlytics installation UUIDs, Firebase installation IDs and Firebase session IDs. A Firebase installation ID distinguishes one app installation and is not an account identifier or an identifier for a person or physical device. Firebase user-agent metadata such as install source and SDK versions is not linked by Google to a user or device identifier. We do not send your name, email address, contacts, precise location, microphone content, photos or account information.
To keep the app usable between sessions, the app saves your preferences in private local storage:
The Android app excludes its files, databases and preferences from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Apple-platform backups follow your device and iCloud settings. If you enable Analytics, the current values of the limited categorical and numeric settings listed above may also be sent as product events; the developer cannot access the complete local records.
404Cerebrum uses Google Firebase and Google Cloud as service providers for the purposes described here. Analytics, Crashlytics and Sessions data may be exported daily to linked Google BigQuery datasets in the EU; streaming export is disabled. We use aggregated reports, trends, funnels, coarse acquisition channels and crash reports to improve the product and its reliability. We do not sell data or use it for advertising, data-broker profiling or tracking across other companies' apps or websites. Advertising-ID collection and personalized-ad signals are disabled in the app.
Optional usage analytics not linked to an account is off by default. The app asks once before enabling it, and you can change the choice later in Settings under Privacy without limiting the metronome. Supported production builds send automatic crash and diagnostic data independently of Analytics. Turning Analytics off does not disable automatic diagnostics, and the app has no separate diagnostics switch.
Data is encrypted in transit and Firebase access is limited to authorized project members. Local records remain until you clear app storage or uninstall the app, subject to any Apple-platform backup retained under your device and iCloud settings. Google Analytics event-level and user-level data are configured for 14 months. New activity resets the user-level retention window; most standard aggregated reports are not limited by this setting. Crashlytics generally retains crash data and associated identifiers for 90 days before deletion from live and backup systems begins. The linked BigQuery datasets use a 60-day default table expiration; individual table or partition settings can differ. Disabling Analytics stops future Analytics transmissions but does not disable automatic diagnostics. The app does not expose an installation identifier, so records already sent to Firebase cannot currently be identified reliably for individual deletion.
The app does not knowingly collect names, contact details, precise location, account information, or user-generated content from children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
